Committee Objectives

• Act as Humans of Oando Award (HOA) champions by rallying employees to vote before the voting deadline.
• Act as an independent observer monitoring the voting process for each of the award categories.
• Ensure transparency.

Committee Membership

• Membership of the awards committee shall total five (5) including the Chair.
• The Chair of the awards committee shall be the most senior executive of all members.
• Members of the awards committee shall be nominated by the Project Lead of the HOA and approved by the Head, Corporate Communications, for a 2-year membership tenure, except a committee member asks to be excused.
If a committee member is a nominee of one of the awards, the nomination will be forfeited and deemed as void.
The Corporate Communications team and committee members must demonstrate that all votes submitted are in accordance with the award rules and within the stipulated deadlines.
In the spirit of teamwork, members of the awards committee must cut across all departments and cadres of employees but must include at least one Management Executive.

Role of Committee Members

The Committee Members shall:

• Review the selection criteria for each award category and recommend changes as and when appropriate.
• Shortly after the ‘Voting’ announcement, engage and encourage the Humans of Oando to participate by voting for deserving colleagues.
• Monitor the nomination and voting process.
Oversee vote counting and collation of results.
In the instance of a tie between two nominees, cast a vote to determine the winner.
Share lessons learnt at the end of the campaign to help refine the process for the subsequent year.

• Overseeing the voting and final selection process.
